A30 Breakdown Recovery — Launceston to Penzance
The A30 is our home road. From Launceston to Land's End, we attend breakdowns on the A30 every single day. Local dispatch, local drivers, fast on the hard shoulder.
The A30 is Cornwall's main artery — and the road we cover more than any other. If you've broken down, hit an animal, blown a tyre or run out of fuel anywhere between the Devon border at Launceston and the end of the dual carriageway near Penzance, we can be on the hard shoulder or in the layby quickly.
Junctions and stretches we cover most often: Launceston (A30/A388), Bodmin (Innis Downs), Victoria, Indian Queens, Carland Cross, Chiverton Cross, Scorrier, Avers, Pool, Loggans Moor at Hayle, Longrock and Penzance. Whether it's engine failure at speed, an accident, or a caravan/trailer that's lost a wheel, we handle it.
Because the A30 gets busy in summer, tourists in hire cars and caravans are a big share of our A30 workload. We're used to safely recovering unfamiliar hire vehicles, motorhomes and cars with roof boxes or bikes, and getting people back to their accommodation with the minimum fuss.

Frequently Asked Questions
I've broken down on the A30 — what do I do?
Pull as far left as possible onto the hard shoulder or into a layby, put hazards on, get out of the vehicle to the safe side of the barrier, and call us on 07874 130193. Share your location — the nearest junction number or a what3words works well.
How long will you take to reach me on the A30?
We're on the A30 most days already, so response is usually 20–40 minutes to any junction between Bodmin and Hayle in normal conditions.
Can you recover me if I'm not from Cornwall?
Yes — a large share of our A30 jobs are visitors in hire cars, motorhomes or caravans. We recover to your accommodation, a local garage, or wherever suits.
Do you cover the A30 in Devon too?
Our base is Cornwall, so we focus on the A30 from the Tamar westward. For jobs on the Devon side we can advise but usually can't attend.
Do you cover A30 accidents?
Yes. We provide accident recovery on the A30 and can move damaged vehicles to a body shop or your home.
